Need More Time In Your Day?

It’s no secret that many of us wish we had more hours in the day - especially teachers! With the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI), educators can now gain more time. There have been many conversations about the use of AI programs such as ChatGPT, and educators have been experimenting with new ways to develop lesson plans, create personalized student plans, and create engaging lessons. Personally, I have utilized some of these AI programs myself, and it has enabled me to save time so that I can still produce quality lessons for my students and have more personal time.

Recently, I explored Curipod.com, which allowed me to create interactive lessons in a matter of seconds. The website was easy to navigate, and I could adjust the lesson to meet the needs of my classroom. I was able to regain hours of work time with the click of a button. Additionally, Curipod’s platform is user-friendly for students to join and participate in the lesson.

Canva.com has integrated an AI generated tool called Magic Write into their docs. Clicking the plus sign in a new doc presents a prompt to use AI to develop written content. The feature can be utilized to create lesson plans, projects, assessments (with answer key), and other time consuming products. Although it is currently unavailable on edu accounts, I believe this will change with the future of AI in the classroom.

Classmagic.co is another excellent website that is poised to revolutionize technology for teachers.Educators will be able to personalize AI spells (prompts) in a fraction of the time it typically takes. Spells are also available in the library, where AI generated products can be shared with other educators.

The advancement of AI being used in the classroom is exciting, and I am looking forward to learning about and trying out new products. With the additional time I’m saving, I am able to spend more time with my family and friends. How about you? What will you be doing with the extra time?
